How to place a photo inside of text CorelDraw x6

hello and welcome to big tech tutorials today I will be showing you how to place a photo inside of text using CorelDraw 16 we are going to start our project by creating a new document in order to do so you can click on this new icon here or go to file then new once you have this menu you can go and select your document size my case.

I’m going to use the standard size letter sheet click there hit OK ok from here what you’re going to want to do is import your photo in order to import your photo you are going to either hit ctrl I which is the shortcut for import or you can go to file import I’m going to be working with this fire folder the day I’m going to click on it and hit import your cursor will turn into this icon here which will allow you to place your photo anywhere you’d like on your documents ok I’m using my mouse wheel to scroll out so that I can zoom out as it was too large for my document and resizing here in CorelDraw 16 is fairly easy simply click on one of the corner nodes you see here and drag in the next thing you need to do is bring in your text.

you are going to do that by going over to this an icon here which is your text tool and clicking on it brings your cursor on over to your documents click there now you are going to select your fonts and remember when selecting your font that you want something that is nice and bold and doesn’t have too much spacing in between for example if you choose this Arial here not too much of the image will show through so I’m going to choose impact ok then.

I am going to choose my font size and my case I’m going with about 150 points looks good type out your text using your keyboard then select your pick tool when you’re done typing now with your pick tool selected you can rearrange your text anywhere on the photo I want mine about their okay now you’re going to want to select your photo and in order to get it into the text you can use one of two methods the first one is you can go on over to effects here go down to power clip and hit place inside frame or perhaps the easier way would be to right click on the image.

itself go to power clip inside click that and then with this arrow icon you see here click inside your text and there you go you have your photo inside of your text you can go ahead and click the center here and rearrange it anywhere on the page you’d like or if you didn’t like the placement and you say you want more flames in the F here because you didn’t quite get enough with it you can edit this power clip by selecting this first icon here which is added power clip so if I click on that I can now click on the photo and reposition it just about where you’d like and then going back down and you will see another icon now.

it has a green checkmark on it go ahead and select that and you’re done with your changes the neat thing about this effect is that if you need to change the text you can also do so by simply double-clicking on the text will still turn you back to the text tools you can see here you can change your text then when done click your pick tool again and it will accept your changes there you go thank you for visiting big tech tutorials and have fun inserting a photo into text.
